Common questions
How do I pair with my partner?
Each of you has a 6-character pair code in Profile. Share your code or invite link, or enter your partner’s code in Profile → Pair with partner. Both accounts must be signed in.
What are Mine and Ours?
Mine is your personal side of the folio — wallets and accounts only you see. Ours is shared with your paired partner. Use the toggle at the top of the app to switch.
How do shared transactions work?
When you log a transaction as shared, your partner can see it in the Ours ledger. Personal transactions stay in Mine unless marked shared.
Push notifications
Enable them in Profile → Push notifications and allow permission when iOS asks. Notifications require a TestFlight or App Store build — they do not work in Expo Go. Your partner is notified when you add a shared expense.
Delete my account
Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, wallets, accounts, and transactions. This cannot be undone.
Is Twofold a bank?
No. Twofold is a manual budgeting and tracking tool for couples. We do not hold money, move funds, or provide financial advice. Balances and transactions are what you enter yourself.
Purchases and refunds
Twofold is sold as a one-time download on the App Store. Payment and refunds are handled by Apple. For billing questions, use Apple’s purchase support or request a refund through your Apple account.
